Here we have listed the steps and fee’s to getting your Washington State Drivers License
KNOWLEDGE TEST

Next is a list of the steps
PLEASE READ

Step 1. You must have a Washington State Instruction Permit, or Washington State Photo ID. If you do not have either of these two items then you must “Pre-Apply” with DOL. Here is the link to go to, www.dol.wa.gov . You must follow the License Express tab, and “Join Now”. When finished you will be in the DOL system and you will have a “Drivers License Number”, 12 characters starting with “WDL”. We need this, and a legal Gov. document to identify, and test you.

Step 2. You must be at least 15 1/2 years old to take the knowledge exam without a Drivers Education Course, or 15 years old and have completed your Washington State Drivers Education Course.

Step 3. Drivers License Knowledge Test (Walk-ins are welcome) You must pass this with an 80% to move forward to the Drivers License Skills Test.

Step 4. Drivers License Skills Test. ( By Prepaid Appointment Only) You must pass with an 80%.
After you have passed both the Drivers License Knowledge Test and Drivers License Skills Test your scores will be put into the DOL System and you will then go to your nearest office to get your License. Check with the local DOL office for Fees. Below are links to the DOL website to review your skills.
